Civil Society Empowerment for Accountable Education

Under the leadership of Karkhana Samuha, the CSE project’s primary objective is to strengthen civil society engagement to improve transparency, accountability, and inclusivity within Nepal’s education sector policies and implementation. Under the leadership of Karkhana Samuha, the CSE project’s primary objective is to strengthen civil society engagement to improve transparency, accountability, and inclusivity within Nepal’s education sector policies and implementation. The aim is to make education in Nepal more equitable, inclusive, and resilient.Karkhana Samuha works in partnership with the Dalit Society Service Organization (DSSO). Furthermore, the project aims to enhance the capacity of civil society organizations (CSOs) in effectively harnessing data for citizen mobilization, advocacy, and evidence-based policy-making through the application of digital innovation, design thinking, and strategic advocacy.

The CSE project is being supported by Education Out Loud (EOL), Global Partnership for Education’s fund dedicated to support civil society capacity building and engagement in education policy processes.

Learning collaboratives (LC) are groups where civil society organizations exchange ideas and strategies to improve education accountability. They work together to solve shared challenges and enhance their impact through collective learning. The Learning Collaborative will focus on six thematic areas:

CSE Toolkit

The CSE Toolkit is a digital resource empowering Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in data-driven advocacy, civic mobilization, and policy-making for Nepal’s education sector. It offers key learnings, policy briefs, evidence-based tools, and transparent access to project progress and activities to address educational governance gaps and amplify marginalized voices in policy discussions.
