Meet the Book Bus Fellows

2024/25

Bikas Sah

I am from Janakpurdham, Madhesh Province, Nepal. I completed my +2 in Computer Science in 2079 and have recently taken a gap year to follow my passion. I love promoting my culture and taking the lead for the betterment of society. I am excited to inspire learning and grow as a leader with the Book Bus team.

Asim Raj Panjiyar

I am from Parsa, Madhesh Province, Nepal, and am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. I am passionate about fostering innovations for food security and inspiring youth towards sustainability. Through this fellowship, I look forward to gaining valuable insights and contributing meaningfully to my community by promoting education, climate action, and sustainability.

Spandan Giri

I come from Hetauda, Bagmati Province, Nepal. I completed my A Levels and am currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Studies. This is my first experience being part of a project, and I consider myself a good listener. I am eager to explore new opportunities for learning and growth through this fellowship.

MD Nayim Rain

I am studying BA LLB at Rajarshi Janak University. I serve as the President of the Madhesh Province Youth Network, advocating for youth and children's rights in Nepal. I am passionate about becoming a strong leader, contributing to effective governance, and working with various civil organizations to bring positive change.

Mimamsha Dhungel

I am from Gurjudhara, Kathmandu, and currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, and English Literature at St. Xavier’s College, Maitighar. Alongside my studies, I serve as the Communications Manager at Debate Network Nepal and as the Communications Affairs Associate for the Nepal Literature Festival. Previously, I worked as a journalist with The Kathmandu Post. Books and reading have always been close to my heart, and I aim to promote a stronger reading culture in our community. I am excited to learn, grow, and contribute meaningfully through the Book Bus Fellowship.

Nikita Parajuli

I am from Chitwan, Bagmati Province, Nepal. I completed my Bachelor's degree in Agriculture in 2023 and have gained experience as an intern, researcher, and volunteer in various programs. I am a cheerful person who easily connects with others. I look forward to promoting literacy in rural communities, sharing knowledge, learning from new experiences, and positively impacting young learners' lives.

Shostika Khatri

I am from Doti, Sudurpaschim Province, Nepal, and am pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Sociology. I am involved as a project volunteer in the European Union project "Nepali Yuwa in Climate Action and Green Growth" and as a college ambassador for United World School. I am eager to work at the community level and develop myself as a capable youth through this Book Bus Fellowship program.

Aayush Awasthi

I have studied cybersecurity and have a strong interest in technology and agriculture. I enjoy reading books, meeting new people, and traveling to less-explored places. I am also the founder of VermiCow Organics.

Sudipa Kerung

I am from Jhapa but currently reside in Kathmandu, Bagmati Province. As a representative of the LGBTQ+ community, I believe in the power of representation and making a positive impact. I am a Social Work student with professional experience in Human Resources. I enjoy dancing, meeting new people, exploring fashion, and personal vlogging. I am actively involved in voluntary work with a few NGOs and look forward to contributing through this fellowship.

Shreya Shree Banjara

I am from Panauti, Bagmati Province, and hold a Bachelor's degree in Social Work with a major in Psychology. I am eager to inspire young minds in my community, foster a love for reading, and create impactful literacy initiatives that promote growth and empowerment.

Ranjan Jaiswal

I am from Dhangadhi, Kailali, and am currently pursuing a BA LLB at Kailali Multiple Campus, Farwestern University. With my team, I have conducted public awareness programs in Bajhang and Saipal Gaupalika. I have also interned as a legal associate at Godawari Municipality, Kailali, and Ward 2, Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City. I am eager to meet new people, be part of the Book Bus team, and gain new experiences.

Prakash Sharma

I am passionate about statistics, data science, and public policy, with experience in research, teaching, and youth leadership. I have interned at renowned institutions like the US Embassy and Kathmandu Metropolitan City. As an Aspire Leader 2024 and a mental health and education advocate, I am driven by curiosity and a desire to create meaningful impact. I aspire to become a diplomat and contribute to international public policy.

Rabindra Kumar Mahato

I am from Bhangaha, Mahottari, Madhesh Province, and have an academic background in Rural Development. I am a dedicated youth leader focused on social transformation, youth empowerment, and civic engagement. I have been actively involved in initiatives to raise awareness about child rights, environmental conservation, climate change, and social justice. I enjoy reading, researching, and organizing community-level events and activities.

Nandani Sah

Hailing from Madhesh and currently residing in Lalitpur, I am pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Communication, and Information Engineering at IOE Pulchowk Campus. Passionate about technology and community development, I am committed to giving back to society and inspiring the next generation, especially young girls in my community. As a Youth Sounding Board Member at the European Union in Nepal, I actively engage in initiatives that drive positive change. I also enjoy experimenting with new ideas and exploring innovative ways to create impact.
