American Corner Bhairahawa(Community Information Center)is a joint venture of American Embassy, Kathmandu and Siddhartha Chamber of Commerce & Industry.



Providing Library service


We promote American culture through the American Library, DVD's, documentaries, children's stories


American Corner provides access to current and reliable information about the U.S. via book collections, magazines, CDs and DVDs, Internet, Documentaries


American Corner Pokhara is a partnership and close cooperation between the AIRC U.S. Embassy, Kathmandu and the Pokhara Public Library.
Transformed 7 American Spaces, located across Nepal from libraries to makerspaces focused on developing entrepreneurship, innovative thinking and 21st century skills through a hands-on approach. American Spaces are US State Department operated community spaces that conduct public diplomacy through youth-focused services.
  • Developed curriculum, lessons and learning kits for entrepreneurship, innovative thinking and 21st century through STEAM education.
  • Designed and set up makerspaces and STEAM labs.
  • Trained cohorts, with a emphasis on increasing female participation in STEAM careers, to mentor students at the American Spaces
  • Provided professional development for American Spaces Staff to familiarize and raise awareness about makerspace programming
